What is “Operation Holiday Cheer”?
Operation Holiday Cheer is an initiative that was started by Ibero-American Action League, Inc to support the immediate needs of its clients during the holiday season. The purpose of this initiative is to fulfill basic seasonal needs.
The agency was pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming support shown by Ibero donors. The response and willingness to help seniors, individuals with disabilities and the food pantry was heart warming. The donations helped ensure that seniors enjoyed a holiday meal, that individuals with disabilities had a gift to open on Christmas day and that our food pantry was able to provide food for families in our community.
We met our goals. Total Success!!!
- Over $1,600 were raised in gift cards for the seniors of “El Centro de Oro” who has over 100 members.
- Gifts and gift cards were donated for all of the clients in the developmental disabilities division.
- Non perishable food items valued at over $2,500 were donated to the food pantry by vendors and community individuals.
We want to thank all of our supporters and donors. We could not have done this without your help . We will be sharing more information about “Operation Holiday Cheer” as we launch our 2nd annual drive in July 2013.
