45th Annual Luncheon and Launch of Ibero’s 5th Annual Appeal

“Celebrating 45 years of service to the Hispanic and general community”
(Rochester, NY) – On Friday, November 1, 2013, Ibero-American Action League, Inc – will host its 45th Annual Luncheon and launch to the public of its 5th Annual Appeal. A total of over four hundred people have registered to attend this event.
Every year around the time of Hispanic Heritage Month, the agency celebrates its annual luncheon and showcases its accomplishments for the past year. It also recognizes deserving members of the community via the award recognition ceremony. New to this event is the addition of the Annual Appeal, a new and necessary initiative that has been created to help the agency raise additional funds.
This year, the topic of focus is “Health.” In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Ibero has invited Dr. Elena Rios to be this year’s keynote speaker. President & CEO, National Hispanic Medical Association and President, of the National Hispanic Health Foundation.
Hilda R. Escher, President and CEO of Ibero states that “with the growing changes in the health care it’s important that our community has the tools and resources to advocate for their own health needs.”
At the award ceremony the agency will recognize:
- Roberto Thompson from Excellus BC BS with the Friend of the Year Award
- Kelly Mullaney from Working Art Media with the Volunteer of the Year Award
- Migdalia Toro from NeighborWorks with the Alicia Torres Award
- Dr. Constantino Fernandez from U of R Medical Center with the Lo Mejor de lo Nuestro Awards.
