FEDERAL GRANT FROM THE U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROVIDES FUNDING FOR NEW MICRO ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM IN ROCHESTER
Rochester’s PRIME Program Builds on Success of EAP and PRIME Programs in Buffalo and Waverly
Ibero’s new program in Rochester is designed to assist and educate anyone who wishes to start, operate, expand, or retain their own business. Ibero specializes in the development of business plans, business training, counseling, the state certification process, and the necessary technical assistance to help current and aspiring entrepreneurs turn their business concepts into a reality.
Our program specializes in assisting individuals with low income, minorities, women and veterans, although it is open to individuals of all ethnic backgrounds who fall under certain financial guidelines.
The 60-hour training class will begin on March 30th and will meet Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:15-9:00pm. Clients will be guided through creating a business plan and will receive a graduation certificate upon completion.
Preparing for success, researching your business idea, business planning, the marketing plan, laws, regulations and taxes, managing your micro-business, analyzing your market, product and price, placement and promotion, E-commerce, selling success, cash-flow management, keeping books and records, and financial tips and tools. We will also help clients secure financing for their business.
Local business leaders will lead classroom sessions to give clients firsthand knowledge and practice in areas such as banking and marketing.
The Small Business Administration’s Program for Investment in Micro-entrepreneurs (PRIME) grant given to Ibero provides assistance to organizations that help low-income entrepreneurs who lack sufficient training and education to gain access to capital to establish and expand their small businesses.
