Building Stronger Families and Greater Self-Sufficiency
Some quick facts about Ibero and how your donation will support the educational journey of children and youth:
• 95 percent parent engagement rate at our Early Childhood Center (serves families of all ethnic backgrounds)
• Early Childhood Center serves as a national model because of its accomplishments
• Donations will be used to provide books, supplies, museum visits for children, and college visits and business tours for youth in our programs
• Ibero is the recipient of five awards that include a Certificate of Excellence for Moving Families toward Self-Sufficiency, Facilitating Parent Volunteerism, Enrolling Individuals in GED Programs
Our Children and Youth Division enrolls children as young as six-weeks-old through the age of four. It is a unique program where our certified teachers focus on establishing and improving motor skills, literacy, structure, goal-setting, resolving conflicts, socialization, nutrition and much more. The focus is on parents as much as it is on children, and we have numerous mothers and fathers who come back to us to report their success stories: the ability to pursue a professional degree and seek employment because of the role Ibero played in teaching them fundamental skills.
Programs in our Youth Services Division are having a profound impact on seventh and eighth grade students as we offer mentoring programs, education and workshops on sexual education, pregnancy prevention and domestic violence, leadership training and workforce development through our Summer of Opportunity Program.
