Youth Services

Ibero provides services geared at preparing youth to meet the challenges of adulthood in education, employment, and the development of self-esteem.  We have consistently provided with the assistance of the City of Rochester, the Workers Investment Board and other entities - services to more than 100 youth that help them develop entrepreneurship skills and a sense of commitment to community service.  We also offer a cultural component that help the youth develop culturally through dance, song and other enriching activities.

In collaboration with the Rochester City School District, Ibero has also created the Hispanic Young Scholars Recognition Program (HYSRP).  The HYSRP is designed to identify promising young students in the Rochester City School District; recognize their accomplishments and encourage them to continue and improve their academic success throughout high school and onto college.  Each year, the Hispanic Young Scholars Recognition Dinner is held. At this event, students are recognized and lauded as scholars for consistently maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 and above throughout the school year.
