Position: Infant & Toddler Primary Caregiver/Teacher

Location: Ibero’s Early Childhood Center - Early Head Start Program
               777 Clifford Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621

Yearly Salary:  $18,200 Full Time

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have College education in Early Childhood Education or Infant/Toddler CDA
• Must demonstrate knowledge of child development, early childhood education and appropriate disci­pline methods
• Must have experience working with Infants & Toddlers
• Must be a good team player, demonstrate ability to work cooperatively
• Must have good organizational and leadership skills
• Must have the ability to work alternative work schedules to support program/parent evening and week­end activities
• Must be available for meetings and training's outside working hours
• Must have the ability to perform all physical duties required by the supervision of young children
• Must have the ability to speak positively and respectfully to the children and their parents
• Must have the ability to reflect on one's own performance
• Must obtain a physical exam with TB test, fingerprints and State Central clearance

Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Early Childhood Director, the Primary Caregiver/Teacher will plan, implement, and assess a language-rich, developmentally appropriate lessons for Infants & Toddlers which follows the Head Start Performance Standards, NYS Child Care Regulations and Ibero’s policies and procedures. 

The Teacher must be able to interact positively and respectfully with staff, parents, chil­dren, and colleagues, and demonstrate a commitment to the Ibero’s mission.
